About the author
Dr. Najiba Benabess is the Dean of Elizabethtown College’s School of Business. She formerly held leadership positions at Millikin University and Norwich University.
She has taught and ascended the executive ladder for the past 23 years, regularly presenting at conferences Her skills had been sharpened during her Harvard Business School executive Education program. She was named Dean of the Year hy the AGRA Association in 2021 for her leadership and dedication to business education. Dr. Benabess is also involved in community boards that promote business and economic growth. Her scholarship and true leadership influence the next generation of business executives and academic leaders, making her a well-known personality in the sector.

After Graduating with a Master of Arts degree in Economics from Western Illinois University, I got my first full-time teaching position at TEC De Monterrey University located in Guadalajara, Mexico.
2007
Persuaded PhD in Economics from the University of Wisconsin, Milwaukee and after graduation, I got my first tenure track faculty position at Northfield Vermont.
2012
Switched to the dark side – Got appointed as Administration Director of the School of Business at Norwich University, one of the oldest military colleges located in Vermont.
2020
Graduated from the High Potential Leadership Program at Harvard School of Business which prepared me to embrace the risks and opportunities that accompany leadership roles.
2021
Received Dean of the Year 2021 award from the Academy of Global Business Advancement (AGBA) when working as the Dean of Milkin University’s Taber School of Business.
